Biography

Meghan Herring’s drumming career has taken her around world. She’s played drums professionally for 18 years. After starting the band Doll Skin at 17, her band was quickly signed to EMP Records, and she toured with acts such as New Found Glory, Anti-Flag, The Dead Kennedys, Creeper, Lacey Sturm of Flyleaf, Flogging Molly, Social Distortion, Motion City Soundtrack and much more. The band was managed by David Ellefson of Megadeth, as well as Capital Artist Management in the UK. She is the proud owner of a custom SJC kit, and has been featured on SJC in their marketing and social accounts multiple times. Meghan was also included in Alternative Press’s list of female drummers inspiring the next generation. Meg and Doll Skin have been sponsored by Daddario, Hot Topic and Journeys. Her touring experience has taken her to Mexico, Europe, UK, and across the United States numerous times.

After two summers at the Warped Tour, Doll Skin was signed to Hopeless Records, where they released their record ‘Love Is Dead And We Killed Her’ as well as multiple singles afterward. Doll Skin has been featured in Alternative Press, Vice News, Rocksound and more. The band ended in 2023, and Meghan moved on to tour as a professional drummer from there on out - touring as a live drummer for acts like Adore Delano, The Bots, Bailey Spinn and more. She also started a new experimental hardcore band called Deathdotgov that just released their first single ‘The Observer’.

Meghan has been in professional music photography for 10+ years. Some artists include: Rage Against The Machine, Run The Jewels, Taking Back Sunday, Blessthefall, Flogging Molly, Beartooth, Lacey Sturm and more. She also does band photoshoots, weddings and special events.

Meghan’s experience in music marketing has been extensive, with a professional tenure that has lasted since 2017. She worked with Blackstar Agency in London, managing music marketing and social media for major artists on their roster. Through this incredible opportunity she gained valuable insight on marketing an artist in a bespoke manner, as well as knowledge on Meta Advertising.
